When the Wall Words Lie: Navigating Corporate Hypocrisy with IRR + SMART

“Empathy. Integrity. People First.”
Beautiful words. Etched on acrylic. Mounted on mahogany. Backlit for dramatic flair.

And yet…
There you sit, exhausted, unseen, unheard, wondering if you’re the problem because you expected those words to mean something.

Let’s call it what it is: corporate hypocrisy.
The mission sounds noble, the posters are inspirational, but when profit is on the line. Those fancy words turn into background noise while the decision-makers choose dollars over decency, every. single. time.

So what do you do when your values no longer match the ones on the wall?

You Identify it. You Recognize it. You Resolve it.
That’s the IRR method I live by. Paired with my SMART strategy (Support, Measure, Adjust, Reflect, Thrive), this became my survival guide when silence was louder than truth.

I’ve been there, questioning my worth, watching those who speak up quietly pushed out while the yes-crew gets promoted.
So I stopped trying to win a game that was never meant for players like me.

I chose peace over chaos.
And I built strategies to help others do the same.
